We had a blast carving our pumpkins this year for Halloween. While Stevie was making phone calls for work Daxen and I got everything set up. We printed off the Internet pictures we wanted to use for our pumpkins. Stevie's pumpkin was Frankenstein, mine was a mummy, and Daxen's was of course a Dog. He is going to be a dog for Halloween so of course he would pick a dog for his pumpkin as well. Things started out good with all of us getting the middle part out of the pumpkin. Daxen wanted nothing to do with that. He tried touching it but was not a fan of the gooey feeling. It was pretty funny needless to say. However, as we were carving the pumpkins, which Daxen wanted to help with but we told him this was for Mommy's and Daddy's only because of the knife, he decided to be braver. As you can tell he no longer feared the gooey texture of the pumpkin goo. He was all IN IT! He would get it all over his hands and rub it in his hair, on his stomach, and at one point he even put it in his mouth. We had that stuff EVERYWHERE. Did I mention I HATE I repeat HATE the smell of pumpkin (at least when it is coming from the pumpkin goo). It was all over him but I am thankful for Stevie who said he would clean him up! It did keep him entertained for the 2 hours it took us to actually carve all three pumpkins. I love the fact that Daxen is getting old enough to help us do things and be a part of it. He is growing up like crazy and there is never a boring day with him. I think our pumpkins turned out pretty dang good!

Happy Birthday Honey
Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband. He is 25 years old today. I cannot believe that he is 25. Stevie is a great husband and I am so lucky to have him in my life. Our life started when we went on a blind date together and we have been together ever since. We were so fortunate to find one another and without him I would not be the person I am today. He gives me strength and courage to become who I want to be. He is always reminding me how he loves me and is so grateful for all of things I do. Stevie is a hard worker. Without a place to call a real office he spends his time at home working. We close the door and he goes to work. He works so hard to support us as a family and strives each and every day to make us happy.
Daxen could not be more proud of his Dad. He stays at the door and knocks at it just to have a hug from his Dad. Daxen cannot wait until his Dad gets home to play with him. Stevie is such a good Dad. He is so good to Daxen and I. We love spending our time together. We have a weekly movie night where we rent a movie from redbox eat our popcorn and enjoy our time together. That is one of my favorite times during the week. Because I get to be with him! :)
I am so proud of the person he has become and is continuing to become! He is the best husband and I couldn't have asked for more. I love you honey and I hope you have a wonderful day today!
